Fr. Scott Attanasio is one of 3 priests in the Archdiocese of Newark who have received this year's Msgr. John. J. Kiley Award for outstanding service to the youth of the Archdiocese.

Fr. Scott is a 1987 graduate of Queen of Peace High School.  He received his BA degree from Seton Hall University and MDiv from Immaculate Conception Seminary.  For nearly 10 years he has been an Associate Pastor of Queen of Peace Parish.  He is in charge of all parish social events like dances, picnics, and trips to movies and museums.

In addition to weddings, funerals, baptisms, visits to the sick, and his Sunday and Holyday Mass schedule, Fr. Scott is the Chaplain for the High School and Moderator of the CYO.

In the high school, he offers Mass every Tuesday in the Chapel of St. Joseph the Educator.  There are also Masses for religion classes and daytime, overnight, and weekend retreats. 

Fr. Scott is the chaplain for Youth for Life, an occasional presenter in religion classes, and regularly found in the Counseling Center.  He is directly involved in the preparation of Eucharistic Ministers and Church Lectors.

He is in charge of the sports program for the CYO which includes basketball, baseball, track and cheerleading; he is also in charge of the CYO social program which includes trips to amusement parks, movie nights, and dances for the grammar school.

He is also moderator for the Queen of Peace Council Knights of Columbus Squires Program.
