Physical Education I, II, III Grade 9, 10, 11 Physical Education is designed to improve physical and cardiovascular fitness through participation in exercises and individual and team sports. Freshman Physical Education focuses on the development of basic fundamental skills, while sophomore and junior Physical Education concentrate on intermediate and advanced skills. Activities include bowling, football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, floor hockey, team handball, ultimate frisbee, softball, jogging, track, weight training, and physical fitness testing. Emphasis is placed on skill, achievement, knowledge of the sport, and good sportsmanship.
Driver’s Education (one semester) Grade 10 This course will teach the students conflict management, peer mediation, and conflict resolution. The domestic violence segment of the course will cover physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, sexual harassment, and stalking. The teenage gambling segment of the course will deal with signs and indicators of teenage gambling. |
