National Honor Society
Students may be elected to membership in the Regina Pacis Chapter of the National Honor Society. Election to this society is the most prestigious academic honor that a high school student can achieve. Election to the National Honor Society is based upon a point system in each of the four categories of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character. The Principal’s recommendation is also required. Students are eligible during the second semester of their sophomore year.
National Business Honor Society (NBHS)
The first induction ceremony for the Queen of Peace High School Chapter of the National Business Honor Society took place June 17th as 16 students joined the prestigious organization.
The objectives of the National Business Honor Society are to:
- Promote and recognize academic achievement in business education at the secondary level.
- Foster and recognize leadership skills and character development.
- Help members grow ethically and socially by promoting and encouraging an interest in business.
- Encourage member involvement in service learning initiatives.
Students accepted into the honor society were chosen for their accomplishments in involvement, leadership, and achievement.
A traditional candle lighting ceremony signify their acceptance of the requirements of the organization.
Sophomore Honor Society
The Sophomore Honor Society is a formal organization that recognizes student achievement in academics, school activities and service to the greater community. The Society works to train students in leadership roles and functions.
