Daily Bulletin Monday, May 12, 2008 "D1" Schedule SENIOR LOCKER CLEAN OUT - Numerous large garbage cans have been placed by senior lockers in order to expedite the locker clean out process. All senior lockers must be emptied and cleaned by the end of this week. ASIAN AMERICAN CLUB - Our last meeting of the year will Tuesday, May 13th, right after school in room 213. YOUTH FOR LIFE - Last meeting of the year Tuesday May 13th, after school in room 104, officers will be announced. QPTi - There will be a meeting Tuesday, May 20th, for all members, to elect officers for the coming school year. Please sign up in the Counseling Center if you are attending or planning on running for office. SENIOR FINAL EXAMS - The schedule has been posted in the Café and in the stairwell closest to the SSO. Please report conflicts (2 exams scheduled at the same time) to Sister Joan by Wednesday, May 14th. PROGRESS REPORTS - were mailed home last week. You should have received them by now, if not check with Mrs. Valente in the Main Office. SUPPORT THE BABIES - May 13 is the last day t-shirt orders will be placed. SUMMER CAMP - New York Film Academy Summer Camps for Film & Acting for High School students ages 14-17, for more details please come to the Counseling Center. JOSTEN'S - For all sophomores still interested in purchasing a junior ring, Josten's will be here on Tuesday, May 20th, to receive orders. A $75.00 deposit (check or money order made out to QPHS or cash) is expected on that day. SPORTS AWARDS DINNER - Thursday, June 5th, at 7:00 pm in the gym, $30.00 per ticket for parents and friends. All Varsity Athletes are free, but you must tell Mr. Abromaitis if you are attending. Please make checks payable to Queen of Peace High School. EUCHARISTIC MINISTER TRAINING - There will be a two day training session on Monday May 12th, and Monday May 19th, for next year's Eucharistic ministers. If you are a senior next year and interested, please sign up in the Campus Ministry Office. COLLEGE TRIP - Anyone interested in a college trip to Seton Hall University on May 20, see Devon Santana HR 11E - 104 ASAP. FUTURE NURSES - William Paterson University is offering a Future Nurses Workshop in July. Come to the Counseling Center for details. SENIOR MATH PLACEMENT TEST - a tutoring session is held every Wednesday and Thursday morning from 7:45 am to 8:05 am in room 301. The purpose of the sessions is to prepare graduating seniors for their Math Placement Exams for college. Any questions please see Mr. Ahmuty. MOTHER DAUGHTER DANCE - Friday, May 16th - All returns to the Main Office by May 9th. TALENT NIGHT - The QP Choir is sponsoring a talent night on Wednesday, May 14th. Can you Sing, Dance or Act? Do you play an instrument or perform comedy? Sign up sheets are posted outside room 312. Any questions see Ms. Sarno or Kaitlyn Degnan HR 309-10B. ATTENTION SENIORS - Who have not decided where you will be attending college this fall: Felician College will be having "Instant Decision Days" May 5th-10th and June 16th-21st at the Lodi Campus in Kirby Hall. The application fee will be waived. Check the poster by the Counseling Center for more details. DANCE TEAM - Will be hosting a workshop on Saturday, May 10th. If you are interested please see Kim Newby HR 12-D 205. All ages and levels are welcome! DANCE TEAM - Is selling T-Shirts for $15.00, if you would like to buy one please see a dance team member. T-Shirts are also available in the school bookstore. UNION COUNTY COLLEGE - Will hold an Open House at their Cranford Campus on May 15th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. REGISTRATION PACKETS - The registration fee INCREASED by $100.00 for registration packets not returned by April 2nd. SAT’s -The June 7th SAT can be taken at Queen of Peace High School, this is an added date. FREE TUTORING - Need help with your classes? Want someone to explain what's going on in class? The National Honor Society has tutors who will help you in any subject with which you're having trouble. Tutoring forms are in the Guidance Office or with Justyna Rebisz in HR 12D. Remember, it's free and confidential. LOST & FOUND - Lost & Found is located in the bookstore which is next to the cafeteria.
