QPHS senior and girls basketball center, Raven Farley-Clark, has been selected to play in the 2017 McDonald’s All-American Game, as a member of the 12-player East Team.  This is an historic first for QP!  The 24 players who were selected to play in the 2017 edition of the McDonald’s All-American Game were part of a group of more than 375 girls basketball players nationally who were nominated by high school coaches, athletic directors, principals and members of the McDonald’s All American Games Selection Committee.  The annual event, in its 16th season for girls basketball, will be played at the United Center in Chicago on March 29.

Before they get to Chicago, the players will be honored as part of the McDonald’s All American Hometown Heroes presentations, which recognize the impact of the players on the community and the impact the community has on the players.

The QPHS Hometown Heroes event is set for Thursday, January 26th at 11am in our gym.  Look for it on www.qphs.org and on our social media pages!

Raven was the highest-rated player in Louisiana State University’s 2017-18 signing class, and a five-star prospect by ESPN HoopGurlz, which also ranked her No. 19 overall, and 5th nationally at her position. Raven was recently announced as a member of the 2017 Naismith Trophy High School Midyear Team as well.

Congratulations to Raven, her family, the Lady Griffins and Coach Jio!
